Elementary Schools:

All bus students, please be at your designated stop at least 5-10 minutes prior to the time listed on the bus schedule.

SECONDARY CENTER DELAY SCHEDULE
ONE HOUR DELAY:
GRADES 7-12 will REPORT AT 8:45 A.M. and will be DISMISSED at 2:29 P.M.
TWO HOUR DELAY:
GRADES 7-12 will REPORT AT 9:45 A.M. and will be DISMISSED at 2:29 P.M.
THREE HOUR DELAY:
GRADES 7-12 will REPORT AT 10:45 A.M. and will be DISMISSED at 2:29 P.M.
LUNCHES WILL BE SERVED WHEN THERE IS A THREE (3) HOUR DELAY.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DELAY SCHEDULE
In the event of a SCHOOL DELAY, the following SCHEDULE information for ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS is provided for your convenience. Since DELAYS are called because of unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather or building emergencies, there are THREE DELAY PLANS:
1. ONE HOUR DELAY:
Grades K-6 will REPORT at 9:35 A.M. and will be dismissed at 3:35P.M.
Students must be in their classrooms by 9:55 A.M. Students will be marked TARDY after this time.
2. TWO HOUR DELAY (MODIFIED KINDERGARTEN SCHEDULE)
Grades K-6 will REPORT at 10:35A.M. and will be DISMISSED at 3:35 P.M.
Students must be in their classrooms by 10:55 A.M. Students will be marked TARDY after this time.
3. THREE HOUR DELAY
Grades K-6 will REPORT at 11:35 A.M. and will be DISMISSED at 3:35 P.M.
Students must be in their classrooms by 11:55 A.M. Students will be marked TARDY after this time.
Normal hot lunch will be served to elementary students for all three delays.
There will NO BREAKFAST served on the days we have delays.
EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES
In order to ensure the SAFETY of its students, Wyoming Area School District, in conjunction with municipal officials and police, announce the following EMERGENCY BUS TRANSPORTATION ROUTES:
Students requiring TRANSPORTATION should report to a location along the nearest approved EMERGENCY route.
EXETER TOWNSHIP/FALLS:
Route 92 only - Buses will stop at adjourning roads in Falls.
Dymond Hollow and Lockville Road to Route 92.
Oberdorfer Road and Appletree Road to Route 92 (both Oberdorfer and Appletree Road can use Route 92 or Mt. Zion Road.
Campground, Schooley, Searfoss, Rozelle, Della Lane, Oberdorfer, Lewis, Bodle and Appletree Roads to Mt. Zion Road.
Switzer, Marcy, Bodle and Upper Pecks Roads to Sutton Creek Road.
Lower Pecks Road to Route 92.

Decision is made between Transportation Director and Superintendent, along with local forecast.
The district's Transportation Director travels the bus route between 5:00 and 5:45 a.m. to determine the safety of the roads. He then notifies the Superintendent of his assessment. The Superintendent makes a decision on delaying or closing the schools based on the input from the Transportation Director along with monitoring the local weather forecast and radar report.
The decision to close or delay is made no later that 6:15 a.m.
Why are there emergency snow routes?
Transportation Director notifies on impassible roads.
The Transportation Director notifies the superintendent in the case of impassible roads. If a particular road or roads are impassible, an alternate route may be necessary. Emergency routes will be announced. Specifics of the emergency routes are available on the Wyoming Area website and have been sent home to families.
